Monmouth’s place in Year of Legends

Posted: 20th March 2017 By Take Me To Wales

Monmouth’s place in Year of Legends event

Professional tour guides from all over the UK converged on Monmouth to get a Welsh perspective on one of Britain’s most significant events.

As part of the Year of Legends 2017, Visit Monmouthshire held an industry information and networking event in the Shire Hall, Monmouth, the town where Henry V was born in 1387.

Taking part in the Legends of Agincourt event were Tony Thomas, as Henry, and his knight was Paul Watkins who explained the story of Wales’ contribution to this part of history and the impact that it had on Monmouthshire in particular.
