Bespoke Welsh Holiday Breaks For The Discerning Traveller

Tourism remains Swansea prioriy

Posted: 1st December 2017 By Take Me To Wales

Good to see that tourism remains a priority with Swansea Council, despite a £22 million budget shorfall.

A possible £6 billion investment if the city of culture bid #Swansea2021 indoor arena, Kilvey Hill cable car and the city deal come together was the main thrust of Councillor Robert Francis Davies’s address to Visit Swansea’s Annual tourism stakeholder event.

He stressed that the Swansea Bay Lagoon is ‘getting nearer’, with Swansea’s leader, Rob Stewart keeping in touch with central government.

The Tourism Team stressed the importance of PR, social media and videos – including a Proper Wet guide! And they previewed the 2018 Year of the Sea campaign #SeaSwanseaBay.
