Cowbridge is the best place to live in Wales, according to the Sunday Times.

Its annual tour of Britain concludes the market town in the Vale of Glamorgan beats other Welsh locations when all matters are considered.

Jobs, education, culture, community spirit, food and drink propelled it to the top of 12 locations in Wales which the ST judges considered the best.

Llandaff, Cardiff was singled out as the place in Wales which most appears in the top listings over the last five years.

The alphabetical list of top Welsh places to live, which will appear in the paper next Sunday are: Abergavenny, Abersoch, Bishopston, Cardigan, Carmarthen, Cowbridge, Hay on Wye, Llandeilo, Llanidloes, Monmouth, Narberth and Penarth.
