Texans to celebrate 4 July in Wales

Posted: 30th June 2017 By Take Me To Wales

A taste of Texas is coming to the Vale of Glamorgan from this weekend.

For the fourth year in succession, a group of Texans will be visiting the Vale of Glamorgan and working with local schools and religious leaders to build understanding and links and celebrate US Independence Day on 4 July.

They will also be working in the local community on projects and attending religious services.

Seven local schools will be taking part in the Missional Links-Wales programme and introducing the children to authentic Texas food, a knowledge quiz, music and step dancing.

The group is visiting Barry, Penarth, Llantwit Major and Sully between 1 and 9 July.
