Swansea looks to Christmas and 2018

Posted: 6th December 2017 By Take Me To Wales

Christmas and beyond is being promoted by Visit Swansea Bay.

Its highlighting things to do, see and experience over the holiday and throughout next year.

Not only does it cover the City but also the Gower and coastline as well as Neath and Port Talbot attractions. And you are also close to the foot of the Brecon Beacons.

Over 500 guests filled the Brangwyn Hall to celebrate excellence in tourism. There were over a 1,000 entries and nominations this year.

Winners included Gower Coast Adventures, for best activity provider; the Village Hotel, for best large hotel; and Suzanne Morrison, for best tourism ambassador for her work in promoting the destination to visitors with disabilities.

Other winners included Reynoldston’s King Arthur Hotel, for best inn; the Rake and Riddle in Penclawdd, for best new tourism business; and the LC, for best attraction.

The winners for best event or festival were the Gower Agriculture Society for the Gower Show, and Swansea Council for the Wales Airshow and Proms in the Park.
